  • In a perfect world, the battery would always hover around 50% state of charge, which is perfect chemical balance for a battery.
  • Obviously, that is not practical for a driver who needs to... well, drive places.
  • Key takeaway: Lower depth of discharges between charging ("sips") are better for the battery.

  • Recurrent recommends keeping your battery's state of charge between 30% and 80% for daily use.
  • If you want to be really conservative, or if you don't need that much range every day, you can limit it even further to 40% to 70%.
